ELECTION POST MORTEM

The talking heads seem to be missing the boat. The results are as clear as crystal, and there are three observations I wish to make.  First, the GOP was abysmal in messaging and did not take advantage of the polling that showed most of the country agreed with their positions even when not knowing how different the party positions were. However, like endless man-in-the-street videos have shown, the unwashed masses often think the OTHER party is who stands for things they like. Have seen endless ones like this including of Gen Z. Second, the President made some really major missteps that defy all political calculations. Third, Democrats play to the fallen nature of man and a lot of people feel more comfortable with that because that is the way they are living. It may be possible to win with two strikes, but with three strikes, you are out.  The sad part is that this election was offered to the GOP on the biggest and brightest silver platter ever, but was lost primarily due to abysmal messaging and assaulting their own base with endless texts, some saying they were not asking for money but who always were.  Nobody likes a liar.

 

I received a deaf ear when I told the endless contacts that they needed to run a national campaign on the issues. Instead, all they did was the old character assassination routine. It was like they hired Democrats to run their campaigns. Many fast-forward through all that nastiness. The GOP never seems to understand that the knowledge of the average voter is inch deep. There is zero knowledge of the issues by the large majority that does not ever watch NewsMax, subscribe to the Epoch Times, so listen to the better talk-radio heads. They look at the networks, CNN, and other free Democrat campaigning parading as news. Really now, do people who watch the endless Desperate Housewives programs, the View, and such know absolutely anything about the issues.  Where was there ANY advertising on the following (and it should have been in blue states as well who had some Repubs running.)

 

WINNING CAMPAIGN ADS NEVER DONE

 

1)      The Iran War was necessary because of Dem Jimmy Carter’s turning the country over to Islamists and other Dems since kicking the can down the road. They are against America AND Israel 100% and CANNOT be negotiated with or reasoned with EVER.

2)      Gas prices are less than in 2022 under Biden WITHOUT any Middle East supply disruptions. Everything has gone up in price, yet Trump brought prices down. Obama wanted to DOUBLE gas prices to reduce demand and push alternative energy.  The New Green Deal 2 could TRIPLE them.

3)      Gas prices are now 42 cents higher in blue states due to insane taxes and anti-energy policies.

They want to sue energy companies and will make us all suffer and scream for $5.00 gas.

4)      Democrats actually support the taking of children from parents if they will not engage

in so-called gender therapy which even Europe is distancing itself from.

5)      Democrats want to take away medical choices with a medicare-for-all single payer system which will wreck the economy and decrease the quality of care with rationing to boot.

6)      Democrats are encouraged to run as moderates but when they win, rule as radicals –

7)      Dems tout diversity, equity, and inclusion, but want to ditch John Fetterman from Pennsylvania because he disagrees with them on a few of their insane positions.

Republicans actually tolerate true diversity and have inclusion in their party. 

8)      Democrats attack all blacks who do not agree with them. It mirrors their start as a segregation forever party.

9)      Democrats support abortion up to birth. While people differ on the issue, that really is infanticide as those children could easily live outside the womb.

10)    Democrats want to penalize the rich and especially wealth creators. They want to nationalize Elon Musk’s Companies. Does anyone really think the government would have come up with reusable rockets by itself or be the slightest competitive? It is pure lust and greed.

11)     Democrats booed God in Philadelphia in 2008 when Obama ran. Joe Biden had the IRS unfairly target religious and conservative groups who were not “yes men” to him.

12)     Democrats have halted every war that we almost won through defunding and giving aid and comfort to the enemy.  Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and they would do the same with Iran which is a foe because of our interference.

13)    Under Obama, David Axelrod worked to get Muslim leadership in Nigeria, and the sheer violence and atrocities have been beyond the pale. He tried the same against Netanyahu I Israel but did not succeed there. Do we want more of this?

14)    The GOP cannot win without winning the Independents. I saw nothing that would appeal to them, as they are issue oriented and all thirteen above were roundly ignored.

 

TRUMP’S MISCUES

     

1)      After a stellar start in Iran, Trump backed off when at the cusp of victory, saying “the American people did not have the stomach for this.”  We did, but HE didn’t. He trusted our enemies more than our friends. He also went back and forth on what he would do which got old in a real hurry. He waffled like a Democrat.

2)      Trump bragged about his SCOTUS choices. NO ONE wants to feel owned and they spread their wings, even Barrett and became a snare to them. Then he attacked them.

3)      Unwise in the extreme – he needed to talk less and be presidential at ALL TIMES. Trump went from one thing to another like someone with A.D.D. 

4)      Much of Trump’s base is religious, but he had a potty mouth, which was not presidential and turned off many who see that as a sign of poor character.

5)      Trump said he would not prosecute known criminals such as Obama, Hillary, and Biden (the “Big Guy” to the Chinese).  No partiality. If he had the goods, do it.

6)      He supported yes-men candidates with little chance of winning – Paxton and Darlene for real.

7)      In that same vein, he promised proof the 2020 election was stolen. Many of us KNOW it was, and he let them skate.

8)      He announced a stop of aid to Israel on ELECTION DAY! People did not have time to 

          learn how and why he was saying this.

9)      He did not show enough care and respect for his wife in public. People care about that,

          especially since she has been a huge asset to him.

 

THE COUNTRY HOLDS TO DEMOCRAT POOR SOCIAL VALUES

 

1)      Trump’s base believes in the nuclear family and personal responsibility. Most Dems are not in that situation, and live together for many years, avoid kids, watch filthy movies as a habit, try as teachers and librarians to sexualize young children with no pangs of conscience, and curse like sailors.

2)      Trump has a large religious base, but he acts like Howard Stern. Most Americans blaspheme Christ especially, and Dems push blasphemy and porn relentlessly and scream “censorship” at any attempt to keep filth away from the impressionable.

3)      The young love socialism and Trump has not pushed for true Civics education and national standard, leaving that to Dennis Prager and Hillsdale College. He rarely used his bully pulpit on the social issues that are destroying the nation.

 

There is much more that could and probably should be said, such as turnout and other factors, but this list is simply for starters. Everything that could go wrong DID go wrong. 

 

FULL DISCLOSURE - The writer is a political independent who votes values which means he generally sides with the GOP candidate. He has been writing on policy issues for over 60 years.  

It is good he does not live in Brian Fitzpatrick's First Congressional District in Pennsylvania. He could not have voted for him. While he had breakfast once with his brother Mike, this fella is a John McCain wannabe, crossing the aisle and not having the courage of any real convictions I care about. He lost to a pathetic Dem, Bob Harvie with a very dubious record.
