CHARACTERISTICS OF A CULTIST

I believe from the Lord that the following are characteristics of those who are unnaturally connected with people who practice deception, whether accidentally or on purpose.  

• UNQUESTIONING LOYALTY TO PEOPLE OTHER THAN CHRIST! 
• DISMISSAL OUT OF HAND OF ALL CONCERNS!
• STRANGE INTERPRETATIONS OF SCRIPTURE NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SOUNDNESS
• EXTREME PRIDE IN ONESELF! 
• INABILITY TO BE APPROPRIATE IN COMMUNICATIONS! 

We saw these with the Campingites who followed Harold Camping despite almost laughable assumptions and math.  There was absolutely nothing in the Bible to support what he taught about the coming of Christ, and everything to oppose it. We have seen this with various fringe movements such as Word Faith where the whole body of scripture and the history of God’s dealings with the church are ignored for a narrow-focus self-serving interpretation. They often mock “Fundamentalists” or others who use the scripture as the litmus test for their teachings.  The fact that they uniformly live in EXTREME wealth and pay their non-family workers little is in total disregard to the Book of Acts. Christ showed in his actions that we are not to prefer physical family over the family of God in terms of ministry.  Our family consists of those who DO the will of God. The facts that (1)  the answer to EVERYTHING is giving THEM money and (2) that they run extremely non-transparent financial operations, are extremely obvious red lights to those not linked to these personalities in ungodly ways and who know and understand the heart of God.

The similarities between religious and secular deception are amazing. We see it with the Obamaites who believe everything he says as though he were a prophet of God despite the plain facts that much of it is dead against scripture and who ignore the mountain of substantiated information about his hard Marxist upbringing and worldview during his college years, the very corrupt nature of his rise to power, the overt pushing of Islam and the subjugation and lack of defense of true Christianity worldwide, his association and appointment of some of the most dangerous radicals in American history to positions of power, unaccountable uses of finances taken from people who can ill afford it, avid pro-abortion and pro-homosexual policies, restriction of debate in matters of science, and repeated provable lies that are cold and calculated and easily rebutted by anyone with more than an ounce of knowledge. 

Both religious and secular cultists respect personality more than truth, and listen to self-serving boosters in their respective media who have a track record of deception and unsubstantiated claims. Word-Faith media make wild claims and cross-boosting of each other, and all factual substantiation is eschewed. Thoughtful and sincere critics are demonized. With the secular media, they deeply share a leftist worldview which is anti-Christian, against the Biblical work/reward ethics taught by Christ, and which sees no moral absolutes or any problem with lying, as the ends they are after justify any means they may think up. Any look at history shows the evil in this line of thinking that results in the destruction of the middle class with even more gaps between rich and poor, less freedom, and persecution of true Christians who are thorns in their sides.  From Tanzania on, countries that followed the exact pattern Obama is following have had severe slides into the abyss that are very hard to recover from. Satan comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. His sons and daughters do the same. From Camping to Word-Faith preachers to Obama, the common thread is the ignorance of their followers.  They are largely illiterate Biblically, easily manipulated emotionally, and receptive to the impartation of deception into their spirits.  They value personality more than objective truth.  The only cure is deliverance by God himself, because they have unwittingly become tools of Satan to assist in the agendas of those who are not centered on the work of spreading the true and Biblical Kingdom of God on this earth, but who promote empty counterfeits.

PREACHING, PRACTISING, YOU GET IT

The following was attributed to Donald Trump. I am no Trump fan, and generally find him obnoxious and a predator businessman who goes bankrupt to avoid paying people, and he has been all over the map on Obamacare, but even the "rocks" cry out and sometimes get it right. I would that more people would have the guts to cut through the beltway lingo and simply tell the truth...

Let me get this straight...
We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan
we are FORCED to purchase and FINED if we don't
which covers at least ten million more people
without adding a SINGLE NEW DOCTOR but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents
written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that DIDN'T READ it but who exempted themselves from it
and signed by a President who smokes
with funding administered by a treasury secretary who didn't pay his taxes,
for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect,
by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese
and financed by a country that is BROKE!
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG???

We surely know that answer – and the proposed debt ceiling deal this past weekend would take 10 years to “save” MUCH LESS than what we are overspending in just one year! And even then is is BACKLOADED!   It is too little, too late. The GOP should have defunded ANY expense for ObamaCare until 2013 as well as all new EPA funding, the National Endowment for the Arts, etc. Obama won the game of chicken. It was an entirely phony crisis, and we are in a worse one if this thing is implemented, because the CAUSE for the problem was ignored and no one will think we are serious.  Our creditor nations have already said as much. Anyone familiar with government funding knows that agencies ask for absurd amounts they could never spend effectively knowing the amounts will get reduced and then they scream about “cuts” when they STILL have more than is needed! It ia a total scam. The current crop of Dems and Establishment Republicans have to go in 2012. These guys are 100 times worse than King George III of England. It isn’t about party, it is about principle.

FOOTNOTE –
Dr. Regina Benjamin has a BMI over 30 which is in the obese Category. Over 40 is morbidly obese. Your writer here has a BMI of 28.8 – 6’-3”, 230 lbs. I would have to lose a staggering 31 pounds to get out of “overweight” to the "normal" range which maxes out at a 24.9. I would have to GAIN 10 pounds (yech) to be at the BOTTOM end of Dr. Benjamin’s category. Since your lovable writer here is already too fat to be surgeon general (even if I were a doctor), what does that say about someone who really IS obese? The lowest I ever was was 20.6 when in college and walking everywhere and when a bachelor not eating much and I looked like a stringbean and have the pictures to prove it. Who makes up these charts anyhow? Skinny people I am sure!
